Nan Whaley became the first person in her family to graduate from college when she earned a degree in chemistry from the University of Dayton in 1998.

When she was elected Mayor of Dayton, Ohio in 2013, she was responsible for addressing the economic crisis caused by the Great Recession, the opioid crisis that was claiming thousands of lives, and an education crisis caused by a failing education system.

As Mayor, Nan established pre-K for all four-year olds, cut opioid-related overdose deaths by 50 percent, brought good-paying union jobs to the city, and led the city through one of the state’ worst mass shootings, severe weather events, and the COVID-19 pandemic.

Now, she’s running for Governor to bring good governance statewide and is running against one of the most corrupt GOP administrations in modern American history.

Nan led Dayton through a series of crises and put the city on the path toward revitalization, with your help, she’ll do the same for all of Ohio.
