If elected, Dr. Nancy Goroff would be the first female Ph.D. scientist to serve in Congress. She is running to unseat Rep. Lee Zeldin, a zealous Trump defender who makes the list of Republicans’ most vulnerable House members, in a competitive district that Gov. Andrew Cuomo carried by 49.1 – 48.6 in 2018.
At Stony Brook University, where she taught for 23 years, Nancy conducted crucial research on making environmentally friendly power sources more affordable and accessible. While chair of the Chemistry Department, Nancy secured more than $22 million in funding from the U.S. Department of Energy to establish research centers for the development of renewable energy production technology. Nancy has also worked to develop entrepreneurship programs at Stony Brook.
Help Dr. Goroff take on one of Trump’s favorite Congressmen by donating $10.
