‘America is left defenseless’ as Trump Admin Delays CDC Director Nomination

On Wednesday, the Washington Post reported that the White House plans to delay nominating a CDC Director, with no candidates who align with Secretary Robert F. Kennedy’s unpopular anti-vaccine agenda. In response, 314 Action spokesperson Grace Silva released the following statement:

“The White House can’t find anyone who will uphold RFK Jr.’s dangerously unpopular anti-vaccine agenda. With no permanent replacement in line to take the reins, it seems the administration has run out of options with no more unqualified influencers posing as doctors on their shortlist to fail up.”

“For over 200 days, our nation’s public health agency has been left rudderless because RFK Jr. has alienated experts, ignored career scientists and hollowed out its workforce. Amid a widespread measles outbreak, America is left defenseless. Every day RFK Jr. is in charge of America’s health, we get sicker and sicker. It’s time to put an end to this dysfunction, restore proper leadership across our health institutions and remove Secretary Kennedy from his position.”
