(Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) — 314 Action Fund today endorsed Dr. Amish Shah for Arizona’s 1st Congressional District. As an active, practicing emergency physician, Dr. Shah is a Guardian of Public Health candidate. He’s answering the call to serve his community as 314 Action works to elect 100 new doctors, nurses and health care professionals to office by 2030, raising and spending over $25 million in the effort.

Dr. Amish Shah is an emergency physician and former Arizona state legislator. In office, he passed more bills than any Democrat in the last ten years. Dr. Shah brings decades of medical service and legislative experience to Arizona’s 1st Congressional District. He continues to practice emergency medicine in the heart of the district, where he witnesses firsthand the challenges families face accessing quality, affordable care.
314 Action Fund supported Dr. Shah in the Arizona State Legislature and during his Congressional run in 2024, where he narrowly lost to incumbent Representative David Schweikert. Cook Political Report rates AZ-01 as a true “toss-up” in 2026.
