Martin Heinrich has served the people of New Mexico in the U.S. Senate since 2012 and has been an outspoken leader when it comes to preserving public lands, investing in clean energy, and addressing the threat climate change presents to our nation.

Martin earned his Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia and worked to put himself through college, including stints making pizzas and working part-time at the university’s nuclear reactor.

Before being elected to the Albuquerque City Council in 2003 and later the U.S. House in 2008, Martin worked at Phillips Labs on matters related to directed energy, taught STEM with AmeriCorps, and founded a public affairs firm that specialized in assisting local and in-state nonprofits.

Martin currently serves on the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee and is one of the biggest climate champions in Congress. Support Martin as he continues to lead with data-driven solutions to our country’s biggest problems.
