Richard Pan

Dr. Richard Pan is a pediatrician, UC Davis professor, and a former California legislator. He earned his BA in Biophysics at Johns Hopkins University, his MD at the University of Pittsburgh, and MPH at Harvard University, and currently teaches health policy at UC Davis. Richard is also a 314 Action “Guardian of Public Health” candidate, answering the call to serve as our organization works to elect 100 new doctors to public office by 2030.

As a California legislator, Dr. Pan chaired the Committee on Health and led the state’s implementation of the Affordable Care Act.
