Today, we are coming together to endorse astronaut and aerospace engineer, U.S. Senator Mark Kelly for Vice President. Amongst several strong choices for Vice President, we believe Senator Kelly is the strongest on issues related to our environment and climate change.
As an astronaut, Mark Kelly is one of the few rare individuals who has seen the devastating impacts of climate change not just from here, but also from space. He can speak to voters not just as a politician, but as a scientist who has dedicated his life to help advance humanity, and safeguard our greatest treasure: planet Earth.

As a U.S. Senator from Arizona, Mark Kelly has experience working on critical issues related to climate change. He serves on energy and environment committees that focus on water resources for the West and on access to clean drinking water, helping mitigate water scarcities, safeguarding our rivers and environment, and leading efforts to transform the way we use and secure drinking water.
Senator Kelly worked to include $4 billion for drought mitigation in the Inflation Reduction Act, cosponsored bipartisan legislation that enabled farmers to get financial incentives if they use agricultural techniques that store carbon, and he is someone who follows the science, and uses data to make informed decisions.
He understands that the manmade climate crisis is one of our greatest threats and we can only overcome this existential crisis by confronting our realities and redoubling our efforts. As an astronaut and aerospace engineer, we know Mark Kelly will listen to scientists and leaders in the field to help tackle this existential threat and enact policies to mitigate its impacts.
