(Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) — Since his confirmation as the Secretary of Health and Human Services, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has weaponized his role to implement his anti-vaccine agenda. He’s abandoned every promise made to protect childhood vaccines and dismantled public health standards and practices for generations to come. In a new memo, Donald Trump’s administration doubled-down on RFK Jr.’s agenda, calling for an expedited review of America’s childhood vaccine schedule.
“RFK Jr. pulled the wool over Senator Bill Cassidy’s eyes at the confirmation hearing and now Americans are paying a deadly price,” said Shaughnessy Naughton, President of 314 Action. “Undermining confidence in vaccines and adding red-tape doesn’t make anyone—especially newborns and children—healthier. His assault on health care is taking us back to a time when Americans were sicker, not healthier.”
Naughton continued, “That’s why it’s more important than ever that we elect doctors and scientists to office. 314 Action is working with a record number of candidates running for office in 2026 to fight back against RFK Jr.’s public health crisis. It’s time to elect candidates who know what it takes to make America healthy and undo RFK Jr.’s damage.”
Timeline of RFK Jr.’s assaults on vaccines:
- February 2025: RFK Jr. promises during his Senate confirmation that he will not make ANY changes to the CDC’s vaccine advisory board if confirmed.
- June 2025: RFK Jr. fires the entire CDC vaccine advisory board and replaces them with anti-vaccine extremists, conspiracy theorists, and quack influencers.
- September 2025: RFK Jr. fires CDC Director Susan Monarez after she refuses to commit to greenlighting dangerous changes to the children’s vaccine schedule.
- November 2025: RFK Jr. hijacks the CDC website to claim that there may be a link between vaccines and autism with zero evidence.
- December 2025: RFK Jr.’s vaccine advisory panel has scrapped the 30-year universal guidance on hepatitis B vaccines for newborns. Previously, the vaccination guidance virtually eliminated hepatitis B in young children which is critical since chronic hepatitis is fatal to 1 in 4 children.
