Manny Rutinel is a first responder, attorney, and environmental advocate. With his dual degrees in Microbiology and Economics, he became an Economist for the US Army Corps of Engineers and served as a First Responder in Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria. After graduating law school, Manny also became an environmental attorney, fighting to protect Colorado’s air, land, and water, before being elected to the Colorado State House.
Since taking office, Republican Congressman Gabe Evans has voted to gut Medicaid and take health care coverage away from millions. Unlike Evans and his Republicans colleagues, Manny will fight to ensure all Coloradans have access to quality health care and clean air and land and will stand up to Donald Trump and his extremist MAGA allies.
